Who we are

Established on June 2018.

A public campaign group for anyone, regardless of location, who opposes the Flamingo Land development on Loch Lomond. Our opposition to this development flows logically from our central aims:

To protect and promote forms of land use, that meet the needs of local communities and economies situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and are consistent with the protection of the environment and The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park aims.

To prevent the sale of parcels of land, situated within the LL&TNP, that are valuable public assets and currently Public Owned.

To protect and enhance the natural ecology of the area through conservationist and/or preservationist measures, as deemed appropriate.

To promote genuine sustainable development in the National Park. This is development ‘that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’ (World Commission on Environment and Development, 1987).

To empower local communities in policy areas relevant to the above aims by:

• enhancing public awareness and understanding of issues that connect with these aims;

• representing the interests of local communities;

• promoting community inclusion in key decision-making;
